All students should go to Google Classroom for all assignments. All students have accessed this platform in my class and they are familiar with how it works. If students were absent during Term 3 when the Google Classroom for the 2nd Semester was created, a current code has been sent to their school e-mail.
WELCOME TO 8th GRADE HISTORY!!!!
This year we are going to learn some amazing things. The course of study for this class is U.S. History from Beginning to 1889.
Individual units include: Geography, Ancient Civilizations, Native American Cultures, Middle Ages, Explorers, Early Colonies, Pre-Revolution, American Revolution, Government and Citizenship, Early America, Lewis and Clark, Westward Expansion, Industrialization in the North, Slavery in the South, Fight for Texas/California, Civil War and finally, Reconstruction.
The students will take the second course of American History at the High School which will cover Post-Reconstruction to modern America.
